Looks like a great day.
can u post a pic of the key close up? would love to see it
It's a tiny little pendant. I'm actually cleaning it now - I'll post a pic tomorrow
(I should actually mention that it was my son who eyeballed it (along with the flat button, broken shank. And the bottle)

I don't usually post here, probably because I don't get around to taking pics of my stuff unless I've got questions. Today though was a pretty good day down by my river spot, so I figured I'd share.

Nice finds, although the bottle looks like a "Mrs. Butterworth"..

Sorry can't do the pics of the pendant, too small the camera I'm using has a useless macro....but I can tell you it's religious, w/ the Virgin on one side and symbols on the other.

nice finds!!!!! MR TUFF

I really couldn't tell you. The King's Own Borderers is P. Tait & Co. - Limerick. So that put's it at 1861-1865 according to http://www.ukdfd.co.uk/pages/buttonsntoz.html#anchorn
The other one (artillery I think :icon_scratch:) is backmarked Birmingham and something else I can't make out - maybe something Firmin :dontknow: .So I haven't been able to find anything yet... Though with all the knowledgeable people out there I sure someone might be able to date it.

Firmin & Sons but depends on the full backmark, so can't date it precisely but its late 1800s.

That key is interesting I found one yesterday that looks very similar. How odd. :icon_scratch:
Here is cruddy pic of what I found.
