Doug's finds from his first detecting trip

Well if any of you read the thread regarding Doug detecting in my living room and wanting to dig up the floor you will be glad to know I got him out to detect for about an hour finally today BEFORE he dug up the pirate treasure under my floor! lol He had a blast! Here is what he found!

I wish we could go every day. Wednesday I have to take him back to Portland so he can fly back home as his leave is ending but soon he will be home and I do believe he is gonna be an avid hunting partner! I might have to lock the detectors up so he doesn't sneak off with them! He was determined he needed to dig up the living room floor because there was pirate treasure under there.....was afraid to sleep for fear of him digging it up while I was asleep!! lol

Alright Jeff! I thought you were my friend!! rofl I told Doug I wouldn't tell him what you said and he immediately says "He said I should dig up the floor huh!!" He says you can always come over and HELP him dig it up! lol You are going to have to grab Randy and come over sometime after he gets moved back home. We would have a great time! He hasn't tried prospecting yet!

We will definitely hold ya to it! We can take the whole clan out in the woods someplace, give Randy a hatchet and he will be entertained for hours and we can play in the dirt again!

Oh boy, that one made me giggle!

Yep, Randy would be entertained for hours with a hatchet for sure, I just don't know if my heart would take it, LOL!

Glad Doug got the opportunity to MD outside instead of trying to dig up the "gold" rebar in the cement.
Looks like he did pretty dang good on his first hunt.

A key, a car, can slaw and pull tabs and a zipper pull to go some clad and he should be good to go!

Doug, you got some great finds there drive your mom crazy bring a BIG shovel in the living room!

LOL My boss is listening for every lil sound over here, she is not gonna let him dig up the floor of her building! When she calls on the phone and hears any background noise she says "You tell Doug to leave my floor alone!" He is cracking us all up around here!

ROFL he says that was his idea, he was gonna use a jackhammer.....sheesh if I had known that I could have slept more soundly last night...I know that jackhammer would wake me up!
