Don't know anything about buttons.. help?
Didn't realize there was a "What is it?" section.. posted this in buttons already... anyways... I recently found this button.. when i first found it it was so dirty it was almost black all over. I started rubbing it with a paper towel and it shined up so easily. So i figured i might as well get some metal polish.. the front (center) appears to be maybe copper? the rim and the back are shiny white/silver so i said what the heck and tested the metal. It tests positive for platinum, but also tests positive for 18k gold.. soo i have no idea. Don't know how old it is or where it came from.. some information on age or who wore it would be great.. I've seen many buttons but never seen one with the back constructed like this one.
It was found in Texas.. if that makes any difference.
