On Saturday I hunted a soccer field for two hours and came up with 29 coins worth $7.82. The two dollar coins I found were the first ones of the year and both were fresh drops right on top of the ground and about four feet apart. I also dug a very small and thin sterling silver ring which weighed in at only .88 grams and currently has a melt value of a whopping 81 cents. The ring has a hallmark I've never seen before and couldn't find on the internet. It shows the usual .925 and that is followed by a letter "C" with a circle around it and that in turn is followed by a dollar sign. Anyone have an idea as to the hallmark?
