I managed to get out into the corn fields of southern Indiana today. I got permission to hunt a 45 acre field adjacent to an old farm house that was built in the 1880's. The property had been split up, so I didn't have permission to hunt around the house. There was a spring out in the middle of the field with a nice high spot close by, so that's where I started. Never did find an iron patch, but got a nice signal that turned out to be a 2 Cent piece. :hello2:

Must have been a random drop. She's pretty crusty, but it's my first so I'll take it. I managed to clean it up enough to see a "2".

I'll keep working on it. Maybe I'll be able to get a date. :dontknow: It was nice getting out there for a little while. I still have the back section by the creek to hunt, but the sun was setting, and the full moon was rising.

Thanks for looking, and happy hunting!! :hello:

WTG Mike, good to see you back in the fields again. That 2 center eludes me for some reason :dontknow:.

Thanks. Now that I've found one, you'll find 2 this season. Just like the 1/2 cent. :laughing9: It's good getting out. Especially on a 55 degree day in January!

HH! :hello:
