IDX Classic SL-x2....Excalibur1000
Had a planned early day at work friday, so I brought my IDX along with plans to hit an 1840s cellar hole on the way home.I had hunted this spot before, however there was an area behind the site where the thorny bramble is so thick niether myself nor apparently anyone else has attempted to hunt there.....Thus the "Cross Step Shuffle".
I headed into this mess, swinging my left leg from right to left in front of me, pinning enough brush down to detect a small area and then repeating, occasionally using my right foot to straighten my coil out after snagging it repeatedly, and using my left hand to replace my headphones as they were being regularly yanked off of my head.
Most of the targets were extremely deep and the roots were terrible, and by the time I was done I was tired and covered with pickers and stickers and briars and thorns that had penetrated my denim armor.
This is what Im wiling to do in my quest for the illusive Michigan large cent and yet the only coin found was a 24 wheatie.....the quest goes on.......

Some nice relics there. Keep hunting that site. The coins are bound to come.
