Dog Tax

Took my little nephew out detecting for about a hour or so sometime back before it got to cold. I handed him my Ace 250 set on jewelry mode and told him to dig everything that beeped. My only instructions was to fill in the holes and keep all the trash you dig. So we don't have to find it twice. He did pretty good a nice little hand full of clad. I had him dump his trash out on my work bench and when he did this came out. It was found in McCreary Co.

It reads DOG TAX

I googled it but didn't turn up much thanks for any info...............

? The same as our DOG LICENSES.

Thats a nice one there, you can get an idea of prices by going on ebay and typing in dog tax tag. Do not clean it up. That brings down the value.

He's 11 and loves digging plugs. "Whats the date, what's the date on that. UUhhhh that's old." The kid goes crazy over wheat pennies. I found a 194? something wheat one time and it might as well have been gold. I try to get him to keep his finds but he said the treasure needs to stay together.

I guess Treasure is as Treasure does.

Nice Kermit. I have some older one's myself. They all are different. I was told by a lady I know at a local club that they are valuable the older one's. And if I wanted to sell any to let her know. We never talked prices because I don't part with finds. I'm a hoarder. Don't know a ton about them but there is a market out there. There's a market for everything I'm sure you know already. It's one for a olive oil bath for awhile and then displayed with other good relics.

Nice Tag, I found a 1952 this past summer. I decided to keep`looking and found a 43 Walking Liberty and a Casino Token, they were all in the same yard. Tsgman
