This tag seems to say " P.MARRAZZO MSVDPA?"
Anyone have an idea?

Could be an ID tag from a trappers trap. Was it found out in the woods?

Maybe it reads "MSVLPA" instead of MSVDPA? MSVLPA could stand for the trappers home town of Morrisville.

LOL that's a Hugh area. Do you know where the band stand is in the park with the swimming pools is. I cleaned up there a few years back. Lot of silvers, mostly dimes. To much clad for my taste though.

Maybe a slave tag. If so then you've hit bank.
They are rare and HIGHLY sought after

Their were no Italian slave owners.
French or English
MARROZZO is probably Italian.
