I found this, what seems to me to be a dog tag from just after WWII.I've looked up some & see some navy ones of that time look close.I'll say now I'm not good at finding people & was wondering if there is enough on it to track this person down?I've tried & have come up with this as my best guest...

but I'm not sure enough myself & have no clue who or how to contact family to find out.I would love to see if I could find this person & give it back to the family at least.
Thanks for any help or ideas on this.

Pete, :hello:

Thanks creskol,I'll look again but did not see her e-mail.But your right, just wanted to know if there was anyway to be sure before I went that route. But I can't think of one & the tag don't give the first name. But I'll try that route & see what happens. It was found in some of my late granddads stuff so not sure how or why it was there. But he served in the navy as well in WWII & was on many different type ships so maybe the guy lost it or better yet maybe they were friends back then.
