Looks like it's been done to death already,

they even took the Bell, doors, and windows PLUS spray painted the place on their way out! ;D

J/K!

Looks like a good one to hunt!

I'm not sure it's been done to death, it's pretty far out in the boonies. I talked to the owner, and he said he's never really seen people around it much. He did say that teenagers use to party in it alot when he was a teen, but it's been years sense he's had to run any partiers off.

Y shoot. I've hunted there so many times. Just kiddin
If there was parties, then there might be an abundance of pull tabs. If there is and you have the time and patience to dig them all and discard them. You'll then pull out some real keeper coins that were masked by the pull tabs above. Good luck HH

I couldn't wait for the machine to get here! I'g go rent one for a few days to get a good feel of the grounds before it freezes and snows. Wish you luck and hope no one has beaten you to it yet. Can't wait to see what you come up with!

Looks like a great site!
Good luck with it, & keep us posted...
Happy hunting~

Those kind of places really make my "Sticker Peck Up"

I have on too but the building was recently tore down.
so far nothing but garbage and a small amount of clad, possibly due to heavy eqippment?

Looks like they plow around it, so there should be things turning up year after year. the play area will most likely be in the field. Outhouses most likely in the back. It probably doubled as town hall or meeting hall also.

If there's any gaps around the window sills, you might want to scan the wall.
No telling what some kid might have dropped in there, way back when. There could be counter weights in there for the windows though. Don't let them fool you. HH

That place could last a while. Hunt close to the building first. Once you get a little further away you might want to keep turning the detector up due to the ground being turned. One second thought, you might just start out as high as your machine will go and keep the thing stable.

Be sure to post pics.

Also, you might find it interesting to draw a map of the area and draw in where everything is found. A lot can be learned from looking at a picture afterwards and where the most concetrations were found. I.E. if you find a line going out away from the front or back doors go back and keep working that line out a ways until it stops yeiding.

Also looks like someone tried to BURN it down! Gonna tackle that pile of dirt in the backyard?
Looks like Palouse country ... windy wheat fields. Been there. GOOD LUCK!

It's about 2 hours north of the Palouse , in Douglas County. I like the idea of mapping out the finds, I may do that. The burnt part is from kids partying there, that's when the owner started chasing them off.
