Does Anyone Use A Ferrite Core Noise Suppressor On Your Detector?

I recently added a new center shaft with cam locks and a nice padded arm cuff to my Ace250. When I was researching aftermarket upgrades, snap on ferrite core noise suppressor popped up. I was wondering if anyone used them, and what are the benefits/problems associated with them?
