I have dug 2 or 3 of these in the last couple of years and they always seem to come from a CSA Cav. camp. I dug another today. Someone identified one previously. Anybody know what they were used for? It measures 2.5 in. tall and 2.25 in. wide. Thanks, Quindy

Quindy,
Although not exact, I think they were handles to different type kettles and pots. Here is a picture of an iron one on a vintage copper tub. I have dug several just exactly like yours and my guess is the ones that I have found in camps were off of their various types of kettles and tubs that were used in camp. Of course, I very well could be wrong and they could be a piece off of a tractor for all I know.

Thanks Donnie. I have found a couple (including the one I dug today) from the MW camp that you & Julia discovered. I knew I had seen those before. HH & watch your mail tomorrow, Q.
