Here are some finds from my last couple hunts.

its wild because I have never found anything Watch related before, and now I have 2 within a week apart

I actually found the Gold watch one day, and didn't think anything of it because it was covered in rust. I had assumed it was junk because I have never seen Gold rust before.

Then within a week, I found the silver watch piece , which I knew off the bat it was silver. But then I noticed it had the same rust spots.

I soaked it in CLR and it was gleaming an hour later. After I saw that, I went to my bucket where I dump my trash and pulled out the gold one.

I soaked it in CLR for a few days, and to my surprise, every bit of the rust fell off, not to mention I had forgot I found the back piece with it that day, Hit it with my digger thou.

Tested it all out and it passed the 14k test! 13.7 grams! I also found this small sterling piece that I have no idea what it is.

I went out last weekend and dug this little 14k/Sterling belt buckle. I couldn't believe how good it looked in the hole.

Also found a Silver Washington and this weird Marble that is made of ceramic.

thanks for lookin!

Good score on the gold and silver....always worth checking those iffy items we find.

I doubt if CLR was really necessary, the internals of the watches are what rust so the outer crusts should clean off without much effort.

Yea, the outside was pretty simple, it was just where the internals had rusted and expanded within the watch.

DND NICE OLE WATCH PEICES ....

Well done on the assorted pieces.

Love old watches and watch parts of any kind...silver and gold is even more special!
WTG!

Silver aaand Gold Silver aaand Gold. ahh yes i love that song. Nice finds maybe i should start testing the watches i find cuz i give them to Texas Yankee who collects them. The marble is nice too

Nice finds . Boy that gold is purty

Congrats on the gold! I have to say, it makes ya wonder if the ole' watch just stopped giving the correct time and the ole' cowboy packing it simply had enough of being late to work one day and put a bullet right through its heart. Thanks for sharing!

Nice finds! Luckily you decided to recheck the scrapped one.

WTG Diggin'! The gold watch looks like it has some pretty details.
