Two hinged doors, weird.

Part of a stove is a good guess... :) I have no clue...

It is a door to a wood cook stove...anytime you see a number like that it is referring to the size of the cookplate opening........in this case 8 inches....

That thing being 2 feet wide I'm thinking fireplace grate. Just guessing of course.

Thank you again for everyone's help. I can't seem to find anything on this cook stove. I guess either it was not popular and/or there is none in antiques shops, museums, etc... I would love to have seen the whole thing and learn more about it. I live in Mobile, Al. and if it is from Kansas I would be intrigued on how it got here. I have found a post civil war new york button and several items that was from up far north at this same site. I can't figure out if there was a plantation, home, or farm at this location. I have found a wide variety of stuff at this spot.
