I have had this for at least 40 years purchased in a antiques shop in Ohio when I worked of a car manufacture. Pictures are below. On th bottom it says Jarvis 1357, 1/4-20, Pat. No. 1683038, Im moving and don't know what to do with it. Need to down size. This is my first post and I am new to all of this. Thank you in advance to anyone with insight.

Thanks for the quick response but it has a flat base and after looking on the Plymouth web site at the older models, not sure how it would work. I guess I'm not sure if this Jarvis (manufacture of this) is the sole provider for these type of things. Its heavy and seems to be like the old hood ornaments that I recall. To be honest I thought it was a Packer ornament when I bought it. I have found different Jarvis #s but nothing with this #. Again thanks for your info.

Looks like a RARE winged goddess lady Athena radiator top.

I just guessed that's what it was, but I see now that I was wrong. Now it make sense. thank you for the very helpful info.

1/4-20 is the thread size of the hole in the bottom. I agree it's the top ornament for a radiator cap. Probably never assembled into a complete cap and used as a salesman's sample or something of that nature.

What about aftermarket. Seen one VERY similar on a big rig about a week ago. Looked at it twice.

I realize yours is older.

That makes sense. It was on a platform when I bought it. Its in great shape as it has never really been exposed to the weather. Thanks for the info.

It is "The Flying Lady" sculpted for Plymouth in the 1930's originally designed as a radiator cap but then modified as a hood or ornament.
