Does anyone know what kind of colonial knife this could be?

Coach Stack....the skinning knife had a sharp point but the knife that Bharping found has a large rounded end. I have found some just like his over the years, all from early sites here in Tennessee (late 1700's). I looked them up one time and they were listed as British or English butter knifes.

The metal is carbon steel or iron and the wood handle has scoring and very well preserved. Fascinating! Thanks

It looks to be an early table knife like what is usually seen with a two prong fork. Neat find.

maybe the handle is bone? I don't really know how to tell? If it is bone, it was a large bone used.
