Does anyone know anything about this organization?

I found this today and thought it was a piece of copper flashing before
I unfolded it and flattened it between two boards. . . it's made of copper
and about the size of a credit card but only about half as thick.

Any thoughts on it's age would be appreciated. . . thanks for looking!
