Hello Everyone,

I need some assistance. I have an Ace 250 and a Prizm Iv and I don't have the confidence in them that i would like to have therfore i have ordered a BH Time Ranger. I'm not sure that this is my solution but here is my reasoning. The TR can be manually ground balanced and it also will tell me if i'm in a highly mineralized area (which i believe i am) and I know from the old BH VLF models i have owned in the past, the depth is good. I went with my brother a couple of times and i found more coins and older coins but in most of the areas that i hunt i am only reading coins at 1 to 4 inches and from past experience (20+years) i know there are deeper coins in at least a couple of these areas that i have hunted. If you use a BH TR i would appreciate any feedback you might have.

I bought my first MD for myself for Christmas . I did a lot of reading + research + bought the time ranger . I wanted a mid price range detector for my first detector + for the money the time ranger seemed like a good choice . $449.00 with accessories . So far I'm very happy with it and making good finds . At this stage I don't have a problem with solid hits at 8-9" . I have got hits that was deeper but wanted to learn my machine before digging to deep . I'm still learning each time I go out + my confidence is growing . I have been mainly coin shooting and most aren't that deep . Pinpointing is so easy I usually dig about a 3" diameter plug + the coin is in the plug . I have been mostly hunting in program P3 + that gets rid of most trash . It also probably misses gold rings . Anyway I'm happy so far + don't think I'll need to upgrade anytime soon . Good luck with yours I think you'll like it . HH Paul
