004.JPG005.JPG006.JPGBelt buckle of some kind ,picked up at yard sale, looked in books and on the web.Can not find it anywhere.Courious of maker and age.

Looks like a Native American piece to me... There's likely a site for looking up their makers marks if they aren't included I the more European based references. Although a second opinion on the matter might be warranted before that direction was pursued.

Don't know the marks but that is certainly a beautiful piece of silver. Handmade native American would be my guess.

This reference site may help: Indian Native American hallmarks AL
Also, I just found it helps to enlarge the marked portion, as there's a bit more to it than is readily evident. I can see part of circle with some letters in it above and left of the x.

I believe it is south west native American silver. The mark may be a Hopi??? symbol with a meaning? I did find this site, but not your mark. Maybe send them a picture? It looks old like something from the 1930s, 1940s ? There have been many Hopi, Zuni and Navaho silversmith and some I would say may never be identified. For all I know that mark says it was made in the 4 corners area of Colorado, Utah, Arizona & New Mexico?
