The last two weeks have been skunks (I get a 1K bag of halves weekly), but that all ended today.
Picked up the coins, and the teller commented "it's a canvas bag, not plastic." I'm thinking uh-oh, this could be really good, or really bad. Turns out it was neither, but I got a really good assortment.
When I first switched from boxes of rolled coin to bags of loose, I got all kinds of interesting coins in addition to the halves. Foreign, SBA, Sac, Quarters, etc. and the occasional silver . Lately that hasn't been the case, as the bags have been strictly halves, and lately, all clad.
Today's bag gave up: 2 X SBA dollars, a 1971 "Un Peso" from Mexico, THIRTEEN (13) clad proofs (somebody cashed in a collection, as they are all pristine, and haven't made too many trips through the coin counter), a '53 Ben, two '64 and one '68 Kens. Dunno of the peso is silver, it looks it from the rim. It's the first one I've ever seen.
Gotta get ready for work.
Legend, it's still out there!!
RIP Rich
Edit: The peso is copper nickel.
