One of the sweet sixteen first year of issue. 1967 Hot Wheel Redline Deora. Interesting history on this custom concept car, had Dodge/Chrysler as well as Ford parts. Found in my childhood backyard along with a old brass hinge and 58 cents worth of clad coins and one wheat penny.

That's very cool! Do you remember owning it as a kid? I think it had two removable plastic surfboards on the back (one red and one yellow). I always wonder how many red-lines I lost in my old back yard.

No, no memory. I think it was my older brothers. I may wrap it up and give it to him for Christmas as a joke. It did have two surfboards, it has notches in the rear window where they would lock in.

Nice redline save! That would be a great gag gift for Christmas!

Get it restored and make it a real gift  Deora's a great one of the original sweet-16!

Hunting on memory lane, sounds good to me. Congrats on getting out and digging the past.
