Well my F75 went haywire on Tuesday...finally worked itself out yesterday. So I went out from about 8:30 to 2:00 at a spot me and 2 other buddies have been hunting for 9 months now and it's showing!! :( Every now and then you may find something good, but you have to work really long and hard or get lucky in your first few swings(as my buddy did yesterday, found an 1831 half dime). Well I wasn't that lucky yesterday. All I wanted was an old coin and a bullet and maybe a nice button. Those all eluded me. What I did end up with was a nicely toned red spoon, thimble, bunch of harmonica reeds, a 1949 bent wheat penny, a barnhart button and some other more modern button, 3 tiny buckles, toe tap, tiny musket ball, camp lead and a tiny(pewter?) head. Looks to be a dwarf, gnome or something. I must say that was my best find...sadly. lol Can't win them every day! Thanks for looking and happy hunting!

Dont know why, but I really like thimbles. I got 8 of them this year. All from different sites too. If theres a thimble, i'll find it. Nice digs!

Good stuff, get back there and dig some more. HH

Nice almost full reeds there and love the little face too.

We have found some awesome things at that site, I'm sure a few more will pop up here and there but it's all about hitting that right spot. Congrats on the finds, love the gnome head!

Oh man another Barnhart button! That last one that someone found I just had to have and traded him a silver merc for it.....that is my last name, and if your interested in trading it, pm me!

Nice finds. That gnome head is downright creepy. I think I would keep it in a jar or something away from my bedroom. I couldn't stand the thought of that thing watching me sleep at night. Lol

That would be my cousin. He found it at a different site I believe. I will PM you. I'm sure you will appreciate the button(although a nice one, and also couldn't find anything on google about the button) more than I will.

He's kind of like an evil dobby from Harry potter.

Nice variety Matt!! Happy Holidays, Q.

Thanks, Quindy. We have certainly worked the site hard. Pretty much digging everything at this point. There is one spot with tons of early 1900's trash, but I'm sure if it's picked out there is goodies lying beneath. HH hunting and Merry Christmas to you!

Some nice 1800s relics there Matt. Does that oil lamp knob have a patent date on it? Many times they do. I just found one the other day with an 1868 date on it. Love that little clown head (or whatever??) too.
