I was looking for something on Youtube and came across one where this family finds a 1957 VW truck in a field and rescues it. They included the following information on the video: If you know of an old abandoned VW that needs rescued or have one you want to sell. Call (208)200-6053 to buy the forgotten VW. Finders fee paid if they buy an old VW like the split screen buses. Watch video: https://youtu.be/xsaYK9P6m68. I'll be more observant for these old relics now. 208 area code is in Idaho. Now if you wonder what a restored VW is worth, look at this site for an idea: Oldbug.com Vintage VW's For Sale .8-)

Hard to say , :icon_scratch: approx. 5 Years ago , I found a 1960 split windshield , all glass intact , running , micro bus.
It was buried under VW parts in a chicken coop here in Jersey .
The guy said he didn't want to sell it . He did let lose two yellow front fenders for a late 60's beetle and a black third bench seat out of a camper bus .
Still have those in my parts supply.
Hmmmm

Not a clue or any idea it was a valuable collectable iron . :dontknow:

I know a spot where there' been a wrecked VW "thing", for about 25+ years. On a hiking trail near Mulholland, in the LA area. Lots of wrecked cars near Mulholland... ^_^
