Do you ever imagine while stuck in traffic

Road beds that might be long gone but you can picture there by the layout of the trees and grade and do you ever think about just randomly knocking on a door and asking for permission to detect?There's a little road I travel every day to the Y and today I was stopped in front if a house that had a driveway next to a row of trees on either side with a natural looking depression in the ground in between the trees. I know my imagination gets the best if me sometimes but this road is historic and the surrounding neighborhood is full of older historic homes.

Google earth, would be really helpfull on that, just today I found a long depression in the earth leading back to a pond, where I was told people went swimming many many years ago...betcha, I'll be out there at first light tomorrow, hoping for a virgin swimming hole

Wow,good luck ! I should note the address tomorrow and see if I can notice anything else on Google Earth.I know many of the old maps do not go out as far as where I am and the interstate was cut through behind this property but I think it is on the same grade so that's hopeful.

I don,t even need to be stuck to imagine. Often wondering how much silver alone being passed regular.
Did track down permission to hunt an old no longer lived in place where a stop is required when taking road past. It was kinda nagging gently, of course I wasn,t helping by gawking on the way past each time.

I day dream while driving, All of the sudden I will look around and wonder where I am and not remember how I got there. It might be best while driving in my neck of the woods to pay close attention. What the heck were we talking about?

I think I spend more time wondering while at work, lol. I am pretty certain my productivity has slipped backwards since I have started detecting. Between my daydreaming and friends asking " what goodies did you find this weekend?", I spend a lot of time thinking about it.
