I was at a mine in Nevada most the day counting a stock of inventory we have there and I saw a funny looking furry thing on the conduit. At a closer look I see it's a bat sleeping away in the shop. It's alive as I blew on it and it moved. It's about the size of a mouse. I guess that's where it wanted rest for the day and it'll head out when it gets dark.

Got a bat in a house once. They do not make a sound flitting through the air. Weird.

I have had the displeasure of finding several bats in my life time. EEEWWW!

Hey tamrock!! Any Port in a Storm!! He He!! Hope you're well!! Anyway, GOOD LUCK and GOOD HUNTING!! VERDE!!

When I was a boy I remember my Dad up on a step ladder, picking seckle pears late one afternoon.

He grabbed what he thought was an overripe brown pear only to have it start squirming. He immediately dropped it and it took off to a nearby tree. Yeah, it was a bat. Yeah, he screamed like a girl. Yeah, he just about fell off the ladder and probably nearly soiled his pants.

I thought it was funny as hell, but for some reason my Dad didn't see the humor in it.
