That is a good little light. Bright beam & worth the money. I always had one as a " back-up " light.

I have 2 of them, they work great. Going to Cozumel next month & they will be with me.

Thanks for the responses guys. Its on its way.

Maybe I should have ordered 2.

Hah! I need to get me one of these. All I have is one of the old-school 6-volt lantern battery types that I bought at a yard sale for a buck.

Thats what I was using, sealed up with a bead of silicone caulk. Just got tired of them quitting on me. This one is very nice, I might buy a second one.

Boatlode - I found a collectors item for you. I spent last week diving in Cozumel. I found this in my old gear bag.
Late 70's early 80's Toshiba dive light - weighs a ton. Minor corrosion issue.

I think my first dive dive light was a Dacor back when Dacor was good stuff.

That is an old one. Back then the dive lights were so heavy I never bothered to carry one unless it was a night dive.

Dacor was good stuff. I still carry a big old Dacor knife / dive tool for banging and prying.

Underwater Kinetics makes the best dive lights. Here is my PC Lite. It's over 10 years old and still working. I put the rechargeable batteries in it and it burns for up to 4 hours. This is the same light that commercial divers strap to their helmet and then go down 300 feet!

I would strongly suggest using a UV light underwater as well. Amazing for photography, and you get more of the true colors underwater, which really adds to a search.

Who makes UV underwater lights?

I got into the UV after attending a dive show and seeing underwater photography with UV dive lighting

The UK SL4 that you dive with is available in UV, perhaps you can order just the replacement light and retrofit

Ultra Violet Lights » Underwater Kinetics

I did not purchase one of these, but I replaced the LED's in my light with UV LED's which are readily available for about $5

bugs really jump out with the UV...

-Enjoy!

I'm still running UK 1200's from 20+ years ago.

My UK inventory:
2x UK 1200
2x SL4
1x D4
10x D4/Vectra
2x Light Cannon
