Basically interesting. It's another reality type show-

Standard script, normal acting and the usual prepared scenes with planned spontaneous events.

Eastern Oregon, the claim owner tells them the creek is 1/2 mile that way and the hardrock mine is 3 miles up the hill
then drops them off on their own, the guy that doesn't know anything finds the first gold and gets gold fever.

Not to steal their thunder, but if they did it without the modern stuff, basically taking it 100 years farther back, you'd have what I suggested in my "If You Could, Would you" thread. We all start out with some basic tools,, and make some money to buy/build some better tools.

Mine knows about those holes in the ground. It's good at falling in them or the creek. Like riding a bike, it never forgets how to find them and fall in them...
