Did you add any turnips & parsnips to the mix? It looks good. So good, I decided what I was going to fix for dinner yesterday at 2: pm. Thanks for the idea on what to eat last night.

Thanks Guy's,

In my opinion it came out really good. Might be, because I'm used to eating that ready made frozen crap from Wal-Mart.

I might have to put some of it in the freezer, and microwave it later, since I'm the only one here to eat it.

What!. No Pilot, Flying J or the Iron Skillet at the Petro, food, thar' driver ???. I like the Rainforest Buffet in Wendover.

Ron, the crockpot/slow cooker is one of the most wonderful accessories you'll ever have in the house. It can be used to cook almost anything. Roasts come out great, juicy and tender. The more you use it, the more you'll like it.

All of the above Grant. Might be hard to believe, but I cannot stand Pizza anymore. Living out of the hot deli at Flying J, and hotdogs at Petro's and T/A's takes a toll on ones health. The T/A-Petro restaurant's aren't to bad.

I have stopped at Wendover a few times, but never tried the place you mention. Some of the best are most of the buffet's in NV casinos. I've been off the road for almost a month now, and have already lost about 10 lbs.

I hear that, My wife always asked what I had to eat when I'm out and I do tell her the truth, but she gives me an ear-full when I tell it was a bag of fritos, coke and a couple hot dogs I got at the truck stop. I do eat better at home, but on the road you just want to be quick and move on. I'm being a bit more considerate on myself lately. My favorite is the mountains of food I have a the Basque restaurants in Elko NV. I can't resist when I get out there. It's the most authentic down home cooking in all the west and lots of it.
