Dimes

What did this dream box contain? Pictures if you have them.

Any stories on dime finds other than in boxes are also accepted and will be appreciated by many who view this post on here.

Personally, I have only done 4 boxes of brinks "clear-wrapped" dimes.

Box1: skunk
Box2: 2 silver roosevelts, (1946p, 1963p)
Box3: skunk
Box4: 1 silver roosevelt (1948p)

...As with any coin box, consistancy matters since I hear dime boxes are pretty consistant with producing.

-What would you consider an average box? How often does an average box happen?
-What would you consider a good box(4+ silver dimes), how often does that happen?
In how many dime boxes have you scored 10+ silver dimes? How often does that happen?

I rarely do boxes but usually ask for $50 in dimes before asking for halves [side note -this helps take attention away from halves when i ask for dimes and pennies or nickels - I am looked at like a coin collector instead of "halves? , why do you want halves ? " ]

As for scores a number of times [ about 4-6 ] i have gotten batches of $50 where all ten rolls have about 5-16 silver dimes each

In fact i probably get a mercury every week i look for dimes.

My experience is odd. My first box was really good. 98 keepers. Closest I have got to that in about 100 boxes is 12.

Now, I'm like Mulder with dimes.. "The truth (box) is out there". Realistically the odds of me seeing another 100 keeper box are probably close to having a beer with E.T.

I do 32 boxes every week and the most I have had is 24 with 8 being Mercs. Next best goes down to 10 and then to 5. 1-2 is average for me, however I did 8 boxes last night and hit 6 skunks along the way. Rough batch.

I average roughly 1 silver dime per 3.5 boxes. Best box had 5 including my only Merc from CRH. Silver dimes have been pretty scarce around here.

I was doing good up until about 2 weeks ago Lately I have looked through 29000 dimes ( 5 $500 boxes $400 of cwrs ) and found 0 silvers Im getting pretty discouraged my best $500 box gave me 18 Mercuries and 2 Roosevelts
