We hit the local "archaeological dig" Sunday night in the rain. We hoped the rain would mean the neighbor's four dogs would be inside. They were, until the kind lady of the house let them out. But after 5 minutes in the rain she called them back in.
We only hunted for a while due to the lousy weather and mud. Still found some neat finds from the childhood nursery. If only those old toys could talk. Found: rusty toy gun, red truck, Junior Police badge (daughter found), and the world's shortest horse. LOL
We love the horse. Any thoughts on what he is made of? We guessed tin, due to the lack of rust. ?? My sharp-eyed daughter noticed a tiny bit of gold paint still on his saddle. I wondered if he was part of a pull toy as he has a small hole by one ear and another one on his rump.
Also picturing one of the milk bottles I found earlier that I finally got cleaned up. It is barely legible but it has a red truck with our local town name on it. "Goodwill Dairy -- We produce all we sell"
In the "heavy" department: an old iron and a ceiling sconce for a light.
