Digging in Poop

Lots of deer around my neighborhood now so what they leave behind is everywhere to.
I'm used to them falling in the hole. No different then a pebble.
Not a nuisance as far as I'm concerned.
However yesterday I could not see what the pointer was sounding on except for deer droppings in the hole.

Check this out. Like "Where's Waldo" which one doesn't belong ?

This one is an alloy with a hole the size of a toothpick through it.

That's one find you won't want to clean with your tongue ! I think a deer will chew on anything. A few years back I jumped a few deer out their beds as I was hiking to a cellar hole. In one of the beds there was not one but 2 golf balls. The hard covers on both the golf balls were all chewed up !

My basement walls are covered and always lived by the Moto "Pope or Nope" otherwise I have no desire. The state is trying to eradicate them. Season by me is Oct 1st till Jan 1st.

Once upon a time ago I was digging the Brandywine Battlefield. In the middle of the one field I got a target and there was a large size grape shot in the hole about 8" deep. Pulled it out and it squished. Cow poopie. There was a Merc dime in the hole.

That's what happens when you tell the deer to scat. Frankly, it poops me out. That's why I tend not search under logs. Under those conditions I like to tell my hunting buddies I'll be there in a pinch. Yeah, I got a million of 'em. I'm here all week, folks.
