Where was it found? What state? It could be a whitetail bone or elk....looks large though

Its a Deer leg bone. I've worked allot of archaeological sites and have seen many.

You can rest easy. It is the equivalent of a human tibia, the bigger of the two bones in your shin, but it is definitely not human. I have worked in an operating room for 5 years, and primarily in orthopedic surgery. I have seen thousands of human tibias and the joint surface looks totally different from yours. I couldn't be more sure that it is an animal bone.
