Was down at my moms on a metal detecting trip.
while sitting outside i saw an old trappers shovel i got probably when i was 15.
These things are heavy duty.and she is still using it every year gardening!
There are a lot of trapping supply places,this is the one i got the pics from.

I still love Predator tools shovels and trowel. Made in the USA and they are nearly indestructible.

This is what I use mostly,

I can dig 8" and pull a crushed soda can out of a hole I have to
stretch to get it out of. I have an improvement on the screw driver.
It will scoop dry dirt out of a 2" hole. All I need is my Arkie digger
and an electronic pin pointer.

Ok, I have never seen that type of detector, or is that the detector? The handle with what looks like a pvc pipe extended on it.
