Hello,

Have had this 1935 buffalo lingering around from box to box over the years. I don't collect coins any more other than what i find in the ground or in change, but decided to hang on to this one since it had a funky anomaly. It almost looks like whatever fragment got stamped into the planchet, might have had some lettering on it...but(even if that is the case) it's nearly impossible to make out. I still have a 70% off strike penny and a few Belgies that look like double dies. Used to have a slew of BIE pennies but those are history.

All input is appreciated.

Thanks!

looks like pmd

I highlighted some things you can't see too well in the photo. I noticed some lamination issues circled in red, the two red arrows and in line with the main indentation. The yellow arrow is the most pronounced lamination issue. Also...lol...I noticed that his eye ball has a tiny hollow in it...weird. I was using a 10X loupe under a desk lamp.

intetesting for sure

Appears to be a lamination error to me.

There is definitely some lamination problems on the Obverse of the coin but the long indentation appears that it was possibly Struck Through a Lamination (separated piece) from another coin that later separated from the O.P.'s coin. However, I could be wrong.
