Didja' ever?

Someone posted this, and the Question was asked if anyone had ever found something
only to later discover that it was again gone ?

This is my Story and I'm sticking to it...
(this actually happened by the way)

When I lived in Spain I was hunting on the beach and found a really nice ladies gold bracelet.
I was so excited that I decicided to go to the mall and see if a jewler could give me an estimate
of the value of this bracelet...
So I put it in my pocket went to the mall, and went inside and showed the jewler and
it was great you know, something comparable would be you know $200-300
So I put that thing back in my pocket, and out to the parking garage I went...
Then I went home, all the while assuming the bracelet was in my pocket....
an hour later, I reached into my pocket to find this things and would you know it,
I could not find it, a quick search of the house, my car and anywhere I could think of
did not turn it up.
I was in a panic, and sad of course...
Thinking that it was possible I had lost it somewhere we raced back to the mall, and I
searched to find the parking space where I had parked my car....
When we found it, there was someone else parked there, so I hopped out of the car
Ran to the space and looked, and would you believe it, the bracelet was right there under
the drivers side door, where it had fallen when I pulled out my key...
I could not believe it...

Now tell us your worst nightmare "Found & Lost" experiment...

Now this tread you started is weird because today I found the Pink and silver ring I thought my wife lost! it was in my sock drawer how it got there I don't know.

I started the original Didja' ever.....Post Swiper!! Didja' ever start a post and someone swiped it? No, I don't really care just kidding! Didja' ever take a break and toss your detector through the car window onto the seat and forget to take off your headphones? Has a tendency to rip your ears off! I think these Didja' evers so far have been what are known as " Senior Moments"! But yoiung guys have 'em too so now you youngin's know what's in store. They happen much more often as you pass sixty!
Didja' ever have someone call you with your own cell phone wanting to know if you had lost it? Well, DUH! You didn't know it was lost until they phoned you on it! I laid mine on my car hood and drove off forgetting it was there. Man found it in the middle of the street! Didja' ever have to call yourself so you could find your cell pone? I do all the time! Didja' ever wake up in the middle of the night hearing a strange buzzing sound to learn your pin pointer had been left on and was up against somethng metal in your gear? I have! Didja' ever type a post and proof read it only to find it had about a dozen errors next time you read it? This one will! Didja' ever start a post and have someone swipe it,,, uh....,,and,,,,uh...find out you had already posted the same information twice..... Huh, didja ever?

Jimmi, man starting to worry 'bout ya.DId ya' ever detect in silent mode for 10 min. and realize you forgot to turn your detector on ? I have. Did you ever put your equipment into the trunk of your car,close it , then realized you left your keys laying on the spare with the extra set 20 mi. away? Well I have. It's scarey and I aint even 50 yet. Beginning to worry about leaving house to go mding and forget to take the detector. HH

That sounds like something I did once. I went duck hunting without my gun! 5:00 in the AM, put the boat in the water, cranked up the little Johnson, and headed out. I realized I left my shotgun in the truck after I got a good ways out and had to turn back. And yes, I was with others. Embarrassing.

Got mine just a few hours ago. Swapped cars with the wife who was at a seminar at the library. Had to pick up the Lil' Lowbatts all girls Taek Won Do team for home delivery of the little killers. Forgot I had removed the car key for my ride from her ring. Yep, got that earfull call when she got out of the seminar and I had to run back down to the library.

i got one. didja ever pull out a handful of dirt and scan it and the signals in there only to realize after sifting through the dirt its your ring you forgot to take off?!

Well my Fisher has a chest mount and a long coil cord.
Did you relize them coil cords wer NOT sharp edged shovel proof. :P

anyone got some electric tape I can use ?

Well I feel better now, looks like it's not just me! Didja'ever go out before daylight to go huinting on a cold morning. Start up your truck to let it warm up, lock the key inside so no one would steal the truck and come out later to find it gone? Then you see it nearly a block away in a parking lot still idling next to the curb? Then you realize you didn't set the parking brake , left it in neutral and it coasted nearly a block by itself, down the street backwards, jumped the curb, rolled through a parking lot without hitting a car and parked itself pretty as you please legally against the curb? I know someone who did that.
