I Found this today at an 1800's house. It rang up in the half dollar-copper range. I couldn't believe my eyes when I pulled this gigantic skeleton key out of the hole.

At a whopping 4 1/2 inches long, I thought I had a paint can opener until I dug it out and saw that it was a huge old key! I think it may possibly be from an old garden gate. This has to be one of my favorite relic finds for 2018 so far!

Nice! I've yet to lay claim to my first skeleton key, but I've got sum great new permissions lined up. Great save on the key! Ddf

Wow awesome key! Go find the treasure chest now.

I'd be thrilled to find that.

One of those was on my list for quite awhile...not knowing why, perhaps only one (or two per household?) Anyway I only got two in ten years, so they are a good find. IMO.

Very nice and rare find! I found one at an old house in the 1980s and have not found another since. Congratulations :occasion14:
