Howdy all,
I had a little time to kill tonight and headed to the woods. The area is an old ww2 workers housing neighborhood. All the houses are gone but the streets are still there. Anyway we have hunted this area to death and it has been real good to us so far. Tonight was no exception. I had the place all to my self or so I thought. Turn out the little stew pot bunnies like to scare the crap outta you when you least expect it. I almost stepped on the little guy that I took the pic of. He gave me a good start but I think he was the one who had the heart attack. Anyway I managed a few keepers. Everything came out of a dirt bike trail the kids use. The ground is like concrete but worth the digging. I wish the little Roy rogers cap gun barrel was the whole thing. But its still pretty cool. Wheats are 38s, and 44s. And the washington is a 42s. Thanks for looking and luck in the hunt.

The brush is dead in most spots so I was able to hunt new ground. Also there is a fresh burn in the back which exposed a lot.

Congratulations on the silver! You will have to take me back there to see if we can't get anything else! Just let me know when your free and I can tell Fred Meyer when not to schedule me! :)

Congrats on the silver Washington Juju....
I got a big, wide grin and a chuckle when
you mentioned the stewpot bunnies scaring
you a bit. Can't tell you how many times those
and grouse have done that to me. HH
Gold Nuggets :hello:

I'd take those anyday, JuJu!

Might want to look closer at that '42, as there are known DDO and DDR. Can't tell from the photos.

WTG, JuJu!!!

Looks like areas of hard swinging in there with the tall growth, but you're beating the place into submission!

Thanks KD. About 80% of the area is too thick to hunt. So ya kinda pick your battles. If the whole place was huntable it would be a dream site. But then again its been hammered over the years by other hunters. The only reason I am still making good finds is because I crawl around in the thick stuff.
