I had an hour to detect so I hit a place close to home. I had been to this place literally 20 times. Within 10 mintes, here is what I found

This version was made between 1867 and 1883, I can't quite see a date on this one. This is my first shielded nickel in 30 years of detecting!

I actually found this site in a history book years ago, it used to be a Church/graveyard from 1823. They started doing some excevation up behind it and they plowed a road next to it, that is what sparked my attention since they moved some dirt around. Within the last two years they cleaned up the site and put up a sign marking the Church. I don't know if they want anyone in there now that they cleaned it up so I detected the side that was torn up.
