DICK TRACY toy badge

I dug this DICK TRACY toy badge yesterday in Portland Oregon. It's about 40 millimeters tall, and 32 millimeters wide. The front reads, DICK TRACY / SECRET SERVICE / PATROL / SECOND YEAR / MEMBER.

What year/years was this badge made?

It dates from 1939 and is worth $20-40 in Good to Fine condition. I believe it was issued by Quaker cereals, sponsors of the Dick Tracy radio series.

Seen one dug a while back on another forum, think it was a good one too, doing a search and seeing a $500 listing. Anyway, the thing was primo condition for dug, like the best you could ever hope for. Two days later it was reposted and he had cleaned the hell out of it!

Maybe not quite what you were looking for but a neat trinket that badge is.
