Diamonds aren't the only girls best freind, so is this!
Hi everyone, we made it through the weekend, though it went too fast.
We were able to get out for a few hours yesterday, we hit one of our favorite spots and found very little, mostly we found nails, bottlecraps and tadpulls.
as we worked our way down the beach, we started seeing smoke, we decided to keep going towards it, just to see if anyone was there. By the time we got there, this is what we found. 
, we put all our stuff down and started working on putting it out, Chug is one end using his scoop to shovel sand on the log, and I'm on the other end, scooping sand onto the log with my hands, we got it put out, and am so glad it didn't spread, why do people do these things?
after a couple of hours, we took the "kids" home, then headed to our landlady's house, so that Chug could paint her garage for her, I went with him, I did some light painting, and helped out with a few other small projects, after I promised her I wouldn't do too much, she is such a sweet lady, we love her to death and have been renting here now for 8 years. Anyway, thank goodness she rented a sprayer, he was able to get it done with two coats, it looks so much better! She has a beautiful yard, and some unique decorations, I could sit in the yard or deck all day, it is so peaceful and wonderful! 
when Chug was done, we sat and visited with her, and had drinks, when we went home, she sent with us some beautiful tomatoes, string beans and a huge zucchini , oh, and some homemade minestrone soup! She also gave me these, 
and this awesome chunk of obsidian 
Today we hit another park we like a lot, we never fail to find something interesting, Chug hit a big pocket spill, he found almost 2.00 in a small area, so he calls me over, hoping I would find some too, I get one whole dime, and a bunch of rusty nails.
Walking back down the beach, we stopped to rest on a large log, ok, now picture this, we are the only people there for a good half hour, then we see two people with a bag, they kept checking us out, and seemed nervous. The picked up a bunch of glass bottles and cans, then left. After we smoked, we started back again, working our way back to our truck. On the sand, where we had ALREADY been there, and we know it wasn't there then, but after the same 2 people leave, I saw a first for me, lying on the sand, in all it's red glory, was this, 
yeppers, it's what you think, they lost their new toy! No we didn't pick it up, EWWWWWWWWWWW! I know what they were going to do! They must have dropped it while picking up the bottles and cans.
So Chug wins today for the most clad,and I win for strangest object found for this year so far!
