Yesterday I finally got the monkey of my back ending my gold drought with a nice 14k and real diamond engagement ring, I was using a Minelab Excalibur 1000 and she performed flawlessly in a nice iron patch, its incredible how good the excal is on this type of situation on sniffing out the good stuff, i also scored a titanium heart stopper and a nice pile of gas money.
Today same conditions and the action continued were i left off yesterday this time i went a little south and found another iron patch and started a grid, found a nice sinker and slowed down, five feet away score my first ring maybe a silver cocco chanell knock off, couple of steps and hit a very faint low tone and get a bice butterfly 10k gold ring, there was also plenty of clad and heavy coins to make the hunt interesting. moved up north to were i left my grid yesterday and got what i tought was a nikel tone, stainless that turned out to be my scond gold of the day a 14k with ice, hunted till sun set, started at around 2pm. a very productive hunt in my book. got tree more rings for a two day total of 7 rings 3 gold, 1 silver, 1 titanium, 1 junk, 1 kids junk ring.
