On the piece of metal it has scissors that say diamond sharpener. To the right of that is an oval that says diamond cutlery co. Pat. Apld. For, 60 Broadway NY. If you can give me any information on what it is or was and some information on the company or age of it, it would be much appreciated.

Scissor sharpeners it seems. I can find ads for that company from the 1890's, that's it so far.
