A pal used this and he had never had a DFX in his hand before he reported average target depth at 8", I was there; they where quite strong signals.
And one small coin on edge at around 3-4". He borrowed my DFX.

For even more depth use Mixed mode. (If you can stand it)

I think that's one of my deepest programs. DFXonly.com has plenty programs to try.
The other deep programs I use are hard on the ears; not for long use in trashy areas.

thanks very much for the info i am heading to the beach again today i will let you know how i make out. it should be an extremly low tide today because of the full moon.. i will post tonight or tommorow depending how exhausted i am from scooping thanks again

Thank you, I never have the time to create and experiment.....I really appreciate the program, will experiment with it this week.

Good luck to both of ya.
Let us know how it treats ya, some modifications might have to be done due to location... Location is key. :)

sorry folks did not get out last week had a touch of the flu. i did get out today at an old in land site and tried the new settings just for kicks. the place has been hunted alot, but i did get a 1864 i.h and a colonial button and a few relics. i think this setting will work very well on the beach. i will put it to use tomorrow . thanks again for the info ,and i will let you know the results thanks.

this program is working out great. i went back to the same old site and worked it slow here is what i found. first i found a civil war button, then i found a 1846 large cent at about 15 inches deep and then i could,nt believe my eyes when at about 9 inches deep out of the ground came this 1857 1/4 dollar california gold piece i will get pictures as soon as i can. i talked to a friend last night and he said it may be countrfiet i don,t know may be some one can tell. it has a bear on the back if that means anything to any one.

Glad to hear, I can in my ground barely get out any deeper then 8" with that program. (due to mineralization)
Seems to suit your area perfectly with that depth. :headbang:

Congrats on the finds. :icon_thumleft:

sorry folks had problems with camera but , did get pics. put on todays finds sorry.

Will Eu-citzen's program work on the XLT?
Donno, try. :icon_thumleft:

But the XLT isn't the same as the DFX, keep that in mind.

got to the beach and tried the program out . i must say it works very well on the beach we had a eastern come in this past week so i had to go found about 200 coins clad a couple of wheaties a silver ring with glas, two gold rings one with 5 small diamonds, one gold band four silver ear rings and about 35 old military bullets i have a club meeting tonight ,but i will post pics. asap. thanks for all the help. this new program has possibilities

i found a carbon core to a old hand crank phone the otherday and it was 16 inches down and i have only used the factory sttings for coin and jewelry wow

sorry have not been able to post pics. yet. my brother has been in hospital in icu. been at hosp. will post when i can. thanks

I have DFX for long time
First of all Mixed Mode is a MUST

Modify Relic program,by adding AC sens to 72-75,
DC sense not more then 30-35 top
Preamp Gain to 3 (even 4 if detector works stable)
Change ground filter to 3
VCO audio turn-ON
discrimination accept -20 to + 94,reject 95
And of course use 12 inch coil
or 15x12 SEF
