Wouldn't it have been easier to post this question on the thread you opened about the mixed mode? Probably people that have already subscribed to the old thread would have gotten an email about this question...

No mixed mode is just a mode on the DFX, it has nothing to do with headphones. Now the V3i uses a different type of mixed mode where good signals beep in one ear, bad signals beep in the other ear.
