I have the Whites DFX and I am having a problem keeping the battery charged up. I charge up the battery and when I trun it on it will say 10.5 on battery life. I hunt for a couple of hours and when I put it way it will still say 9. something. I I don't go out for a couple of days and when I get the detctor out again the battery is now saying 6. something. This is my 2 battery that I have goten for this detctor and it is now 2 yrs old is there is problem with the battery or is there something wrong with the detctor......Matt

I would call White's and explain the battery drain problem.

Recently I just put together a 9 cell nimh and I charge it on the charger that came with my V3i, it really holds a long charge. Them new lithium batteries for Whites detectors I hear really work good. If you don't already have the Whites Nickel/Metal charger than I'd personally go for the lithium setup cause if you bought everything from Whites for the Nimh it would cost you more than the lithium setup. Both my factory nimh packs are starting to get tired and one of them is ready for new cells I think but it's about 4 years old or more now.
