The programs that are install is there something build into the program that you cannot change

You can change or add any program you want to. I have changed a couple and I have three added to my machine, two for the horrible Virginia red dirt and 1 souped up coin mode which works well.

You can change the built-in programs while you are using the machine, but you can not save them to the same "slot", so they will revert to the original settings when you power down. If you do want to make a permanent change, you will have to save it under a different name, to one of the custom program "slots".
