DEUS II UPDATE ISSUE ?

Tried to update the DEUS II to version 2.00 and now my machine doesn't work, its stuck on "UPDATE" on the screen and I can't turn it off and I can't change the screen. I'm waiting for the battery to die to see if I can recharge and reset it..
The online updater clearly says that the 2.00 update was installed but I can't do anything now..
Has anyone else experienced anything like this while trying to update the software ?
I'm having another one shipped from Amazon tomorrow because I need one to travel with... and because if it still doesn't work I can return it ...
Pictures of what it's doing !!!
Starts updating then after a second it says ERROR then keeps updating then it goes back to that last screen, from there I can do nothing,
not close the machine, not change screens nothing..

Hey man, sorry you are having that issue. It may be a good idea to contact XP Detectors and see what they have to say. If their update program toasted your unit.. They owe you at the least a fix!

It's in the works, I have never had this happen before, but it like vapor locked the box, and now I can't do anything... its sitting here ON and I'm waiting for the battery to die to see if it will reset,
We are planning to travel monday and I want to take this machine with (for obvious reasons) ..
So I ordered another from Amazon knowing I can return it if need be...
 

That's a big chunk of change to drop. Please do tell us what happens with XP and how they handle it. The Deus II is a large investment for most people. If a company stands behind something though it can help them to sell more, even if it is higher priced.
Best of luck with it, hope it works out to your advantage. They *could* be nice and send some.. goodies back with it once fixed. That would be really nice.

Like professionals that they are, I called MOE, who is the only tech I think, and he said 'Send it in and I will replace the circuit board, update that AND the hockey puck to version 2.00 and he said he wasn't busy so turnaround time would be 1-2 days..
Not going to charge me for this, I don't think. He didn't say that ..
MOE is a great guy, he has helped me fix my DEUS I and II several times..

What "goodies" are you thinking about ? He just repairs them I don't think he sells them.. So I don't think he has anything extra to send.

I'm just going to return it, I did this just in case it did not get back before our road trip.
