Got out to a new spot today in N Virginia with the new Deus II on her maiden civil war relic hunt and the Deus II more than lived up to all the hype 🤣. After 5.5 hours for its inaugural hunt; the Deus did a very good job.

I was running the General program but reduced the audio response to 3 from 4. I dug a General Service Eagle button with complete shank at about 5 inches that the DeuS locked on solid 79-80. I dug 2 flat buttons that locked between 72-75 which also sound like shotgun shells, one blob of period melted lead, a rivet, part of a pewter spoon; but the surprise of the day was a regimental hat letter “B” at about 6 plus inches. The B letter was surrounded by iron as we stumbled upon a colonial house site with brick and broken period glass all around.
I almost did not dig this target as there was so much iron around but the Deus sniffed it out with a solid 65 which I thought was another shotgun hull-so thankful I dug this target!😎

I am impressed with the Deus thus far, easy to handle and target tone and VDI very good and a very stable machine better than my Deus I. I am still learning this machine so next weekend when we go back I may try the Deus Fast as that was the program I always used with the Deus I. Happy digging !
