Deus I or II

I just bought a Deus 2 with 11" coil. I just sold the Deus I. If that doesn't tell you something...the Deus II has found a Virginia CW button, a Confederate frame buckle (haven't posted it as sent it to get straightened as its bent, it not one of he expensive ones), some colonial buttons in a beat up site, minie ball, a couple colonial round balls, a nice 18th century clock winder and the gold $1 US coin. Yeah...it DOES go deeper. Iron can be a little tricky but I really haven't had the chance to tweak it yet. Oh, add to that ANOTHER Confederate frame buckle, Confederate button and flower and plain buttons an some dropped 2 ringers.

If you had the choice, which one would you purchase?
I took the plunge today and ordered the Deus 2 . I had ordered the Nokta Legend , but after my wifes input, and receiving poor service from Nokta regarding a repair to my Anfibio...the choice was clear. Cant wait to take it out to some old pounded sites and see what I can dig up...Long live Metal detecting !

I currently have a Deus 1 but will eventually buy the new model. I'm just not in a rush since the original Deus is an amazing machine. But the new model does appear to have some benefits over the original.

If the extra cost of the Deus 2 takes it beyond what you're comfortable paying, you won't be disappointed with the Deus 1.

I had a deus 1 with the 2 hf coils and it’s an excellent machine but just acquired my deus 2 because I can go into the water with it and no worries about it getting wet plus it’s multi frequency. Good for the beach . Another thing was that when I purchased my deus 1 , the deus 2 cost me as much as the deus 1 and no multi frequency or waterproofing . So in my opinion you get more with the deus 2 for the same amount of money .

From a grassy area with the D2.
