detuning when pinpointing

Don't know if you Can.

If it were a whites you Center over the target & press the Button on the Handle & Repeat.

What do you mean by "detune"? The 1350 pinpoints in all metal mode. I have found that when you have found a target, you can move the coil just to the side of it then hit the pinpoint button and move the coil over the target by making an "X". Once you have done this a couple of times, the target seems to get smaller. When the sound is the loudest and the meter is all the way to the right you are centered. The target should be right in the middle of your inner coil. This is how it works with the GTI1500.

On most detectors with a pinpoint button, once you pinpoint the target you move the coil to the side just a little. Then hit the pinpoint button again. This "detunes" the coil to an even smaller field and makes the center area shrink to about dime size. Practice on a clean piece of ground and after one or two times, you'll get it. That is unless you are like my brother in law. There should be a bounty on that guy.
